Prior to our involvement with the Advance Auto Parts project, the property itself faced soil compaction issues that appeared prohibitively expensive to continue developing.
Our team performed the research and testing necessary to prove that the soil could reach the necessary 95% compaction, thus saving the expense of stripping 3 feet of soil. Our solution cost only $30,000, resulting in a savings of $470,000.
In addition, we modified the existing corporate prototype of the building to meet Garden City’s design requirements. This included utilizing alternative construction materials as well as adopting different block patterns. Because of the work we performed, this Garden City location of Advance Auto Parts is a unique structure that is different from their original corporate prototype.
